A builder is how Erwin characterizes himself. With a proven track record of over 20 years in successfully building products, teams and business in both the payment and crypto industry this description very much captures Erwin in a nutshell.
Holding a Bachelor degree and a MSc in Information Technologies Erwin started his career at Interpay, a large payment processor in the Netherlands. His career has led him through leading companies in the payment industry such as Interpay, Equens and Atos Worldline but also a start-up, PowertoPay and scale-up Fintech company UnifiedPost. Tech-savvy and having developed a strong business acumen Erwin was involved in many of the innovations in the payment industry.
Fascinated by blockchain technologies and the potential for cryptocurrencies, Erwin joined Xapo in 2018. Having held several positions and after having completed the transformation from a crypto company to a regulated bank, Erwin left Xapo early 2021. Continuing his career as an independent consultant, Erwin worked for several crypto companies predominantly in DeFi.
Erwin now has joined DAM as Chief Product Officer where he will be responsible for further shaping DAM’s retail proposition.
